Marijuana – The Facts
Video by: www.youtube.com Marijuana is far less dangerous than alcohol or tobacco. Around 50000 people die each year from alcohol poisoning. Similarly, more than 400000 deaths each year are attributed to tobacco smoking. By comparison, marijuana is nontoxic and cannot cause death by overdose. According to the prestigious European medical journal, The Lancet, “The smoking of cannabis, even long-term, is not harmful to health. … It would be reasonable to judge cannabis as less of a threat … than alcohol or tobacco.” Learn from timeline.

ok so marijuana was originally illega because of racist oppresion but has morphed way beyond that, they see it as big business now! marijuana being illegal means some people can make a lot of money from it without having too surface.

I am an M.D. ( that is medical doctor ) and what i can say is that the “industrial drug complex” = GSK, pfizer, merck, novartis, sanofi, are puting billions in the politicians accounts so they pass laws anti hemp
if hemp were to be ligalised those bastards from the industrial drug/fpharmaceutical complex would lose tons of cash, some of them would go bankurpcy
so, I am sorry to say this, but I doubt we will see hemp legalised too soon, it would take a divide miracle for that

they put toxic chemical in cigarettes so they stay lite longer and people are more addicted to them. People say that doesn’t matter but the facts speak for themselves. When you put toxins in your body that is what causes cancer not the tobacco itself. TOXINS get it through your head people!! MJ isn’t injected with toxins in most cases but if it’s commercialized you can bet it will be. Take water – Water isn’t bad it’s something natural and required by the body but with fluoride it’s toxic.

But your talking about smoking it, if you vapourise the weed…. well its completely harmless, you cut the smoke out of it completely, if people learn that you dont have to smoke weed you can also vapourise it, then maybe laws around it would be rethought, its way less harmless than alcohol or any form of smoking!
February 10th, 2010 at 8:41 am
I’m not anti Marijuana, I smoke it occasionally. Maybe a few times a month, I could more but that’s just how much I choose to. But I definitely wouldn’t smoke it several times a day, or like 10+ times a week like some people I know.
February 10th, 2010 at 9:34 am
But it’s not really dangerous UNLESS you’re taking large amounts. and there isn’t proof that it causes cancer, but studies show there are some signs that it might. they probably just didn’t study hardcore potheads, but there it’s pretty obvious it can cause cancer to me anyways. Any smoke and carbon monoxide in your lungs is not good, especially being held in. I’m not saying it’s lethal at all, or really even dangerous. I’m just saying it’s not harmless, or HEALTHY to you. that’s just ridiculous
February 10th, 2010 at 10:25 am
When they scanned the lungs for evidence of emphysema they found that only 1% of the cannabis only users had emphysema, as did 19% of the cigarette smokers, 16% of those using both cigarettes and cannabis and 0% of the never smokers.” -Jonathan Foulds, PhD, MAppSci, MA. So it’s not that harmful in small amounts, but you have to take into account the cigarette/joint ratio. It’s not that harmful in small amounts, but in large amounts it definitely has a negative effect. So it is not HARMLESS

Well it won’t let me post the link, but theres evidence all over the place from many different sources and studies. I don’t know why you guys are so surprised. but here’s something from one of the sources “The recent study compared lung effects on four groups, each consisting of around 80 volunteers: 1. Cannabis users (at least a joint a day for 5 years), 2. Cigarettes only smokers (at least 20 per day for at least a year), 3. Those who smoke both cigarettes and cannabis and 4. Never smokers.
